Blackberry released the Android and iOS versions of BBM few days ago which has recorded a hug success with over 10M downloads in the first 24 hours. If you have Android v 3.0 down to 2.2 and you want to use BBM on your phone, there are steps to follow to make it work; while trying this method, some said they were able to get the app working on their phones while some couldnt despite following the below steps correctly.

Using BBM for Android 2.2, 2.3, Root your Android phone and upgrade from the current OS version to a higher one, say upgrading from Android 2.2 froyo to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwish. Once you are able to do the rooting and upgrade your OS, you will be able to install and use BBM on your phone from Google Play You phone must have at least 512MB of RAM for this to work

If after rooting your Android phone, your are still not able to download BBM app, then you need the assistance of an app called Market Helper

Market Helper is a tool that helps Android users to N be able to spoof/fake their rooted devices to another devices. For example, it can turn your Tecno N3 into Samsung Galaxy S3 in a few seconds, making your Tecno N3 device to be recognised by Google as Galaxy S3 or whatever you turn it into.Rooted devices only Download MARKET APPS HERE

Market Helper launch the app, then tap select device and follow the instructions like choosing any phone from the drop menu and choosing your network operator. Then activate and reboot the device.

BBM download page on Google play, your device will appear to be the one you choosed from Market Helper setup menu. Hit the install button and you are good to go..

Some Android phones running version 2.3 are able to download Blackberry Messenger without requiring any modified file or trick from your part.

Just loggon to Google Play store to see if you will be given access to download the app. Alternativly, you may try downloading the modified BBM apk file (12.67MB) from the link below, and run on your Android phone AT YOUR OWN RISK BBM APP Some folks download and run on their Android phones with v2.3 Ginger Bread and the creator claimed this was Tested and working on TECHNO P3, Xperia Neo with v2.3.4 etc Were you able to installed BBM on Android 2.3 Ginger Bread following our methods or not Do you have any other method? We will like to hear from you!
